NEW YORK— November 14, 2017 – Today, 19 Paradigm for Parity® member companies were saluted for their leadership in appointing women to serve on corporate boards of directors at the Women’s Forum of New York Annual Breakfast of Corporate Champions. The companies were recognized as the 2017 Corporate Champions for having at least 25% of board seats held by women.
“We are proud that so many Paradigm for Parity® companies are fulfilling their commitment to gender parity by ensuring women are represented on their Boards of Directors,” said Ellen Kullman, Co-Chair of the Paradigm for Parity® coalition. “These companies understand that the only way parity will be achieved is if steps are taken to level the playing field – and that includes filling both board seats and the C-suite with qualified, talented female leaders. We are committed to working with these 19 leading companies and others that are like-minded with a goal to achieve true gender parity in corporate leadership by 2030.”
Below are the 19 Paradigm for Parity® companies that were honored today:
Companies with 40 percent of board seats held by women: Voya Financial, Inc.
Companies with 30 percent of board seats held by women: Accenture, Frontier Communications Corporation, The Hershey Company, KeyCorp, ManpowerGroup, Newmont Mining Corporation, Principal Financial Group, Inc., and Synchrony Financial
Companies with 25 percent of board seats held by women: American Electric Power Company Inc., Anthem, Inc., Bank of America, Coca-Cola Company, Edison International, Ingersoll-Rand PLC, Nordstrom, Inc., United Technologies Corporation, Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., and Willis Towers Watson
