NEW YORK – [March 19, 2019] – To kick off Women’s History Month, the Paradigm for Parity® coalition is pleased to announce that 103 CEOs have committed to taking action within their organizations to close the gender gap in corporate leadership. The Paradigm for Parity® coalition has more than tripled in size since launching in 2016 with 27 companies. Together, the coalition companies employ more than 5.4 million workers across the globe and span a diverse range of 28 industries, including technology, health care, food service, retail and financial services.

The coalition created a 5-Point Action Plan comprised of synergistic steps that, when implemented together, can catalyze change and enable substantial progress towards gender parity by 2030.

The five points are:

  • Eliminating or minimizing unconscious bias in the workplace;

  • Significantly increasing the number of women in senior operating roles;

  • Measuring targets and maintaining accountability by providing regular progress reports;

  • Basing career progress on business results and performance, rather than physical presence in the office; and

  • Providing sponsors, not just mentors, to women well positioned for long term success.
